Meghan Aris is certified in Pilates mat, Pilates apparatus and several disciplines of yoga including restorative, yin, and hatha. Meghan provides an inviting, safe and exploratory atmosphere for students of any ability and is passionate about helping others on their path to self-discovery. She has worked on her own and in conjunction with physiotherapists aiding rehabilitation from spinal disc pathologies, hip and knee injuries, arthritis, scoliosis, and postnatal/prenatal care. She has also worked as teaching faculty for Pilates and Yoga teacher training and is currently continuing her own studies of classical Pilates through the Pilates Center. She has taught Pilates and Yoga throughout Vancouver and Victoria for nearly a decade and is honoured to share the heart of these disciplines with her students.
Carrie’s first hour spent in a Pilates Studio started significant changes in her body, mind and eventually how she spent her entire day! After years of studying the Pilates Method it became apparent that she wanted to share this knowledge with others. Carrie graduated in October 2014 from the Beyond Pilates Teacher Training Program led by Master Teacher-Trainer Noam Gagnon in Vancouver BC. She continues to learn daily from her own body and from those she teaches. She attends Authentic Pilates conferences, workshops and observes her mentors whenever she has the opportunity.
Carrie believes that the Classical Pilates Method, taught as Joseph Pilates intended, has the ability to awaken the body and mind. We are then able to carry what we learn in the studio into our everyday lives to move more efficiently and without injury!
Liz graduated from UVic in 1998 with Bachelor degree in Kinesiology, and has worked in the field of disability management and healthcare for the past 18 years. She started practicing classical pilates 8 years ago and was hooked from the first class! Inspired by her own pilates practice to earn her teaching certification, Liz completed her Classical training with the Pilates Center and is excited to share her love of pilates with you at Fix.
In her spare time, she can be found cycling, mountain biking, running or just simply enjoying time outside with her dog.
